    芝麻滩，当地人这样叫着它，因为这处海滩上的沙黑白相杂，远看像芝麻。但芝麻滩让人留连的并不是这些像芝麻的沙，而是沙粒尽处那一大片石滩。

　　就像北京人很少去故宫王府井，苏州人也不留恋市内，如今本地人最流行玩古城、古镇、古村。其中尤以东山镇、西山镇、三山岛为佳。东山镇在吴县市南部。临太湖，被称为“花果山”。镇里在元、明时的街道就基本形成，主街道依然铺着石板路，而杨湾村则至今尚保存着比较完好的明代一条街。西山镇则位于姑苏城西南35公里，风光异曲同工。

　　交通：在苏州火车站乘20路公交车前往东山镇，票价4元。时间1个多小时。岛上有农家住宿，价格一点儿都不便宜。

　　三山岛，位于苏州城西南50多公里处的太湖之中，由北山、行山、小姑山组成。《橘子红了》就在这里拍摄。秋季，橘树上青黄相间结满了灯笼似的橘子，橘香混合着山野的清风。转弯，粼粼太湖迎向眼帘，鸡犬之声相闻，沿途农舍都掩映在橘树、银杏树、栗树和枣树的浓阴中。找个农家乐，叫一席上好的太湖河鲜：清蒸太湖白刺鱼、墨涂鸭、草鸡炖白果、太湖白虾、莼菜三丝汤，佐以黄酒米酒，当真活色生香。

　　而园林，比较有名的剩下了个圆，名字很独树一帜，听上去就该进去看看。里面其实不大，没法跟苏州园林的名声气派相比，但人要少上很多，因此反倒可能更有南方园林的味道。平山堂，是游目骋怀的好地方。景致如何不提，这里是大家欧阳修贬谪扬州太守时所建，因此意蕴重于风景，大运河穿城而过，水已经很浅，而且泛黄，倒是还有货船来往，但多是货船，孤帆远影的情怀是很难再找了。

　　扬州不大，1天时间即可逡巡一圈儿，其实最有意思的是船渡长江。在扬州不通铁路的日子里，先到南京，然后乘船夜渡长江，站在船头，或者船尾，风把船溅起的水雾泼溅在身上，空气里竟然能闻到些许江水的腥气，夜幕下的江水看不出混浊，但觉宽广无边；抬头，即见一轮明月相送，倒是有些“春将何处无月明”的情怀。

　　红楼竞猜三：金陵，在书中与谁有瓜葛？

　　玄武湖已经是个公园，鸡鸣古寺就在路边，小巧别致，建在小山上，下临城墙，而墙外就是湖了。 秦淮河与夫子庙，加上江南贡院，人群熙攘，文化气息被市井的活气儿淹没，人造的感觉明显，但却有种俗气的喜气洋洋。晚上逛逛，灯盏错落，还有几分情趣；叫卖声此起彼伏，摊位一个接着一个，雨花石、小孩的拨浪鼓、虎头枕、木制的女娃娃、肚兜儿、古时的各种兵器，制作得也就像一般的旅游纪念品，但因为气氛平和喜庆，因此也不觉得烦。晚晴楼是个有名的用餐地。其他不说，单一个字“贵”！且不甚实惠，不过每样都有一个极其好听的名字。永和园与奇芳阁的茶点，吃起来倒是正宗鲜美，鸭血粉丝和灌汤包值得尝试。

　　白天在南京行走时，别忘了看看路边的梧桐树，浪漫得犹如欧洲街道。
